KINGSPAN MOVES TO NEW BIRMINGHAM HOME
Kingspan has moved from Digbeth to Fort Dunlop in Castle Bromwich after agreeing a ten-year lease for 8,991 sq ft on the former tyre factory's top floor.
The company produces high-performance insulation and building envelopes and its products have been used in Singapore's Changi Airport, Dundee's new V&A museum and the Squibb Building in New York among others.
The Irish firm will base its UK commercial, technical and 3D design team at the Birmingham office where 62 employees are on site.
Birmingham-based Estilo Interiors was appointed to design and fit-out the workspace.
Head of business development Lucy Hansell said: "We were tasked with completing the project within four weeks in the middle of the covid-19 pandemic.
"We adapted our original plans to accommodate social distancing requirements but with an eye on future-proofing the layout so it could be changed again as current guidelines relax."
Property consultancies CBRE and Avison Young acted for Kingspan and landlord Tristan Capital Partners respectively.
